Olin Dodson, M.A., LPCC, is the author of MELISSA’S GIFT, a memoir of life with his Costa Rican daughter, Melissa, who passed away in 1997 from complications from cystic fibrosis. In 2004, Olin began writing Melissa’s Gift,the complete story of how he learned about Melissa’s existence, their love and conflicts, and how he fought through the grief after her passing. Writing MELISSA’S GIFT was a five-year project.

MELISSA’S GIFT was published in December, 2012, by Bay Tree Publishing.

Olin Dodson is an experienced teacher, speaker, psychotherapist and consultant. He holds Master’s degrees in Theological Studies (San Francisco Theological Seminary) and and Clinical Psychology (Sonoma State University). He is recipient of awards from the New Mexico Counseling Association and the New Mexico Mental Health Counselors Association. His inspirational presentations, readings and workshops include a special blend of psychological and insights drawn from his uncommon life experiences.
